4Th Global Peace Public Lecture of the Center of Awareness Global Peace Mission (COA-GPM), a non–governmental, non-sectorial and non-religious organisation comes off on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the Auditorium 900 UCC. The annual programme has as its theme “Targeting Leadership Across The Globe to Achieve Global Peace “. The uniqueness of this year’s programme is that it coincides with this year’s annual Christians Lent event “The Palm Sunday” which commemorates the Triumphant Entry of the Prince of Peace, Lord JESUS CHRIST to Jerusalem.

Presently with the world experiencing Wars, Insurrections, Fundamentalism and Violence from the North to South and East to West the imperatives of Peace must be the Clarion Call of all and Sundry from Leadership to the Ordinary Man on the street. It is on this premise that the theme for the 4TH Public Lecture must be of great concern and interest to humanity in general especially members of all Faith since every religion talks about Equality and Peaceful Co-existence. The event will bring together leaders from various fields of Life to dialogue on Peace.

It is expected to host 1,500 participants comprising Traditional Leaders, Professors in the Academia, Student Leaders, Religious and Political Leaders as well as Security Services Personnel. In a brief explanation of the Choice of Palm Sunday for such an all-important Public Lecture. The President General of the Center of Awareness Global Peace Mission the architect of the Global Peace Initiative, Professor Ato Duncan said Palm Sunday depicts the Lord JESUS CHRIST’S commitment to daring every consequence to go to Jerusalem and accomplish His Mission of dying to save mankind and bring Peace and Love to Humanity.

The Christian Community in particular should thus renew their thoughts on Palm Sunday and use it as an occasion that must remind and challenge them to always fight on for the good Cause of Humanity just as the Lord JESUS CHRIST did over 2000 years ago.

The Public Lecture will be broadcast live on selected national radio and TV stations and also on selected Social Media Portals.
The lecture will be delivered by Professor Samuel Ato Duncan. The event will be under the distinguished Patronage of the King of the Asante Kingdom Otumfuo Osei Tutu the 2nd. The maiden edition of the COA Public Lecture took place at the University of Cape Coast in 2017. This was followed by the second edition in 2018 at the Accra International Conference Center. The third edition took place at the University of Cape Coast. See More info in Event Details
