The Center of Awareness Global Peace Mission (COA-GPM) has donated 40 mattresses and 40 mosquito nets to the victims of Moree tidal wave destruction.

The items were handed over to the District Chief Executive of Abura Asebu Kwamankese, Mr. Willievans Obiri-Awuah for onward distribution to the victims.

Presenting the items, the Public Relations Officer of COA-GPM, Mr. Daniel Deladem Kisseih noted that the gesture was in response to an appeal made to Professor Samuel Ato Duncan, President General of COA-GPM to assist the community in the aftermath of the disaster which saw the displacement of several households.

He maintained that the gesture was to support the victims who were affected by the destruction caused by the tidal wave.

“The Center of Awareness Global Peace Mission believes in adopting practical steps to address issues that are confronting society. The families that have been affected are going to find it difficult to have a good sleep at night. Especially in this community where mosquitoes and malaria issues are high, ” he noted.

Receiving the items, the District Chief Executive for Abura Asebu Kwamankese, Mr. Willievans Obiri-Awuah thanked COA-GPM for the kind gesture.
